Our 2017 records show we received over 700 calls from individuals seeking some form of emergency assistance. Streetreach  provided 654 Emergency Night Stays to 131 individuals . This does include (4) seniors over 65, (7) veterans, (15) youth between 16-19 yrs. old, (11) children under 16 yrs.

  • Since we are a 100% volunteer organization we are proud that we were able to provide these services.  This was our busiest year ever, and we also housed long-term  in campers. This allowed for families to seek resources.
  • These figures do not include assistance with rental assistance, electric bills, gas vouchers or food packages.

We do expect to see this trend to continue due to NO permanent shelter, No public transit system, lack of affordable housing and the opioid crisis in Brunswick County.

Emergency Assistance!   Intake Interview and  Emergency Assistance are provided by calling the 24 hr. message line @  (910) 842-2711.

Please keep in mind that we are ALL VOLUNTEERS and may not be available for several hours. Since NO one is allowed into sheltering facilities after 6pm, all calls received  after that time will be returned the following day. This is for safety reasons.   If it is an emergency, please call 911.

At this time we have NO FUNDS for POWER STATS.

Shared Experience

Because we are a nonprofit organization, we rely completely on the gifts and volunteer efforts of individuals, churches, businesses, civic groups, foundations and other organizations to provide for our homeless programs and services in the local area. We do not apply for or receive any local, state or federal government funding.

Through a combination of support strategies, including referrals to  educational programs, job training and placement, medical services, mental health and substance abuse counseling, legal aid and beyond, we help people embrace the great promise of their lives, overcome steep barriers to independence and strive to achieve their aspirations.

We also want to make sure that you benefit  in this process.  In addition to making a difference in the lives of our needy neighbors, you are being a witness to the watching world of God's unconditional love, and you are improving communities.

Most importantly, we are in ministry together collectively, no matter what your denomination is; realizing that in order to fulfill our mission, we must be a Body of participants working in unity and not simply spectators.

Our vision is to see the homeless recieve the best assistance available in our county to fit their personal circumstances.

On behalf of Brunswick County Streetreach Board of Directors we want to THANK YOU  for caring about the less fortunate.
